When I was told that Eater DC wanted to run an exclusive on our upcoming Nuli launch in DC, I was over the moon. My interview with Lenore Adkins made me even more excited because this was a journalist who was deeply curious about my Nuli journey and asked some of the most insightful questions I’ve ever received. But nothing prepared me for the this article, the outcome of her writing.
Lenore effortlessly captures every single element of my vision, my raison d’etre, as I bring Nuli to the US market. From conveying my passion to change the narrative around African cuisine and its food entrepreneurs, to weaving in my background and how my experiences have shaped this dream, she really hit the spot!!! I am deeply grateful.
I am most grateful to her for not disregarding my bold ambitions for scale, especially as a hashtag#Black, hashtag#African, hashtag#Woman. Instead, she has given it life and validity!
Without a doubt I am coming at this with audacity, and lots of courage. But most importantly, with the grit to execute.
And so I only need those with an outsized belief in me in my corner.
Please read, please share, and for those in DC, please patronize our business.
August 2025 here we come!!!
Follow @nuliusa on instagram for updates.
Thank you!
